Gold Mountain Manor began as movie
investor Alexander Barret’s mountain hideaway. It was here that he and his wife Bessie hosted the “who’s who” of Hollywood. Even today the Manor still plays host to Hollywood-types. It is frequently the setting for film, television, catalog, and commercial productions.
Our Big Bear Lake lodging sits on an acre of Ponderosa and Jeffrey pine forest. Experience all four seasons: We have the grounds and facilities to help you portray the look and feel of a high country atmosphere. The Mansion with its stone fireplaces, antique woodstoves, log walls and ceilings, and polished maple floors, provides the perfect backdrop for your fashion image shoots. Our one acre property of towering trees and the ½ block proximity to the National Forest provide exceptional vignettes.
Our press communications center will help you download images of our property for your location consideration for film, commercials, print and digital catalogues. For assistance with media matters, to request photographs, or use the Manor as a location, please e-mail us a request at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call Betsy at (909) 585-6997.
