Clark Gable and his beautiful wife, Carol Lombard, honeymooned at the manor in this very room back in 1939. Legend has it that the amorous couple stocked the room with firewood, built a fire in the vintage Franklin stove, and did not leave until it was time to return to the Hollywood set of “Gone with the Wind”. If only the walls could talk – what tales they would tell!
